EXPERIENCE
Rafael Mason joined Bain Capital in 2022. He is a Managing Director on the Portfolio Team for the Special Situations business in North America.
Prior to joining Bain Capital, Rafael worked at American Express in various roles across businesses and global markets. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President of Global Premium Products, responsible for some of American Express’s largest P&Ls, including the US Platinum portfolio. Before American Express, Rafael was a Vice President within the Investment Banking division at Goldman Sachs.
EDUCATION
Rafael received a JD from Yale Law School and a BA from Harvard College. He was a Fulbright Scholar to France.
