EXPERIENCE
Harvey Heesuk Byun joined Bain Capital in 2026. He is a Principal on the Special Situations team based in Seoul.
Prior to joining Bain Capital, Harvey spent eight years at Oaktree Capital Management, most recently serving as Representative Director and Senior Vice President of Oaktree Capital Seoul Ltd. Earlier in his career, he worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York.
EDUCATION
Harvey received a BS in economics (finance) and a BA in international studies from the Huntsman Program in International Studies and Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
